It might be 100-plus degrees in SoCal, but ski season has officially begun in other parts of the country. Earlier this week a few lucky ski patrollers at Silverton Mountain in Colorado made powder turns after a storm dropped several feet of fresh snow.
According to the ski area’s Twitter account, a few skis might have been ruined because that fresh snow sat on bare ground and the rocks below. But who cares. Making turns in September is awesome.
