A lawsuit brought by snowboarders seeking access to Alta Ski Area has been dismissed by a federal judge.
In the suit, snowboarders argued they were being discriminated against and deserved protection under the 14th Amendment, which is usually brought up concerning cases of racial and gender discrimination.
In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Dee Benson wrote, “There are many forums plaintiffs can resort to in an attempt to accomplish their goal of snowboarding down the Baldy Chutes at Alta. Seeking an injunction from this court is not one of them.”
