As you can see from the photo, Lulu was not all that happy about her first time in the Thule Coaster bike trailer. But that’s just because we had some adjusting to do in order to get her snugged up in her seat. As soon as she was in and we hit the road, she loved it. All giggles and smiles.
For me, the Coaster has been a great addition because it allows me to haul Lulu to daycare and still get some exercise in. The commute is only a couple miles, but biking her around gets my heart rate just high enough to feel good about a beer with dinner. Plus, it’s super easy to use. You secure a hitch to your bike via the quick release on your back wheel and the trailer itself attaches via a ball head. Easy on, easy off.
In addition to a bike trailer, the Coaster can be converted into a regular child stroller by snapping on a separate front wheel. It meets international safety standards in case of an accident, and comes standard with one of those bright orange flags so people don’t run us over. When you’re not using it, the Coaster folds up into a pancake, which is great for those us with limited garage space.
